Our Current ShowAnything Goes: A Venetian Salon
Enter Venice in 1935, a world of powerful women, vibrant wits, the latest in music and poetry and no small amount of controversy…
In a period of decadence and uncertainty, the artistic world is being torn in different directions as political storm clouds gather over Europe.
At the regular salon gatherings in the Palazzo Contarini of the Princesse de Polignac, renowned pianist Arthur Rubinstein, celebrity violinist Olga Rudge, controversial poet Ezra Pound and rising star tenor Francesco Taddei meet to make music and discuss the latest in art, politics and society.
What could go wrong…?!!
Salon Musical presents an immersive show of music and theatre, which explores the hottest themes in 1930’s Europe from anti-Semitism, avant-garde literature and music to the rise of Fascism.
